I am a successful journalist with 45 years experience in just about every facet of newspapers.

But I still have a passion for the main element of our work: quality.

I am creative, and have dedicated myself to the pursuit of excellence. I am energetic, hardworking, conscientious and resourceful. I am a successful project manager with experience of delivering high profile projects. I am a determined and highly-organised individual, with a strong work ethic and a proven ability to manage projects, on strict budgets and to strict deadlines.

Both internal and external clients have been impressed by my professional manner and tenacious approach.

I have an excellent range of skills. built up over many years in journalism and working in the community in East London and Essex. I have outstanding reporting, photographic, sub-editing, layout, design and editing skills in a variety of systems. I also have extensive web experience, built up since the creation of my newspaper’s websites.

I am able to work as part of a team, but have also been in charge of teams of staff ranging from one to 100 people. I have excellent organisational skills, having run hundreds of campaigns in my years as a journalist.

And I have a commitment to excellence, which has been recognised with a number of awards over the years.

I have a passion and talent for taking something or someone and moulding it, or them, into a finished product to be proud of. I also have a will to learn and a desire to improve.

I also have a vision of what newspapers, websites and individuals should and can be doing to not only serve the communities they work in, but to produce products of excellence.
